Join us June 8th as we walk Pacific Highway 99, the same stretch of the I-5 Corridor where many women and young girls are sexually exploited on a daily and nightly basis. Be a part of the growing community of voices who are standing up for victims.
The 5K starts at The Genesis Project drop-in center in SeaTac, WA. Hear from survivors and law enforcement who are on the front-lines of fighting exploitation in Washington State. The Genesis Project is writing a new story for trafficking, working with survivors, law enforcement, and legislators to offer hope for a new life, free of exploitation.
The 5K route takes participants down Highway 99 turning around near the entrance of the SeaTac International Airport, and back to the Genesis Project.
Participants have the opportunity to carry signs during the walk, raising awareness about the local community & state-wide issue of exploitation to thousands of passers-by near SeaTac Airport. Additionally, MANY victims of trafficking and exploitation work along pacific hwy 99. Your participation, and show of support may be seen by women and girls currently caught in exploitation. You can show them they are loved, they have support, and there is a way out.
Registration opens Feb. 28th. Rally your co-workers, classmates, church group or friends and fight this injustice together. Make a difference in the Seattle area and join us on June 8th!
REGISTRATION is $30 per person. 12 years and under are FREE.
